Adhesive:
Fasson® S490 is a general purpose permanent adhesive with good adhesion to many substrates, particularly corrugated cardboard. Displays excellent diecutting and stripping characteristics, especially on wide-web applications.

FDA Compliance: Title 21, Section 175.105 of the Code of Federal Regulations (21 CFR 175.105). Compliance to this regulation permits the use of this adhesive in applications for which the adhesive either (1) is separated from the food by a functional barrier, which will prevent the migration of any of the adhesive components to the food, or (2) has incidental contact with food limited to the trace amount at the seams or the edges of the label.

Applications and Uses
This product consists of a facestock and two adhesive coated liners, a 2 mil clear polystyrene middle ply and 50#SCK bottom ply. This product is suitable for a wide range of labeling applications, including direct mail or form sets where application of a second functional label to another substrate is required. Fasson® S490 is suitable for applications where compliance with FDA 175.105 is required. This section covers applications where incidental contact between food and adhesive could occur.
