Adhesive:
Fasson® S100R is a permanent adhesive which is removable in minimum 100° F water. Developed with good initial tack and ultimate adhesion, S100R can be used as a permanent adhesive on many substrates, yet be removed from that substrate after immersion in water hotter than 100° F. Removal times will vary due to differences in facestocks and substrates. It might be as short as 30 seconds from HDPE, or as long as 5 minutes. Where removal is required, this adhesive is recommended for use on HDPE, polypropylene, poly vinyl chloride (PVC), polyester, Lexan®, stainless steel, and glass. We do not recommend it for use with film facestocks (i.e., polypropylene, polystyrene), due to a potential surface interaction which could cause the loss of water removability. This adhesive exhibits excellent diecutting and stripping properties.

FDA Compliance:  Title 21, Section 175.105 of the Code of Federal Regulations (21 CFR 175.105).  Compliance to this regulation permits the use of this adhesive in applications for which the adhesive either (1) is separated from the food by a functional barrier, which will prevent the migration of any of the adhesive components to the food, or (2) has incidental contact with food limited to the trace amount at the seams or the edges of the label.

Applications and Uses
This product is suitable for use in a wide variety of prime labeling applications where facestock appearance is critical, especially wine labeling applications. This adhesive can be used as a permanent adhesive on many substrates, yet be removed from that substrate after immersion in water hotter than 100°F. Removal times will vary due to differences in facestocks and substrates. It might be as short as thirty seconds from HDPE, but might be as long as five minutes. When removal is required, this adhesive is recommended for use on HDPE, PVC, PET, LEXAN™, stainless steel, and glass. We do not recommend it for use on polypropylene or polystyrene due to a potential surface interaction, which could cause the loss of water removability.
