FassonŽ 410 - Clear Self-Wound BOPP
Spec#
B9082
Description:
FassonŽ Rapid-RollŽ 410 Clear self-wound BOPP is an 0.8 mil clear self-wound overlaminate with a permanent acrylic adhesive. Meets the market need for a durable overlaminate at an economical price, and is available through the FassonŽ EXACT™ program. This film is not designed for printing. When diecutting overlaminated pressure sensitive constructions, dies should be clean, sharp, and tooled for this purpose. The use of overlaminating film can aid in label dispensing.
The polypropylene layer complies with CFR Title 21 Section 177.1520 and the adhesive layer complies with CFR Title 21 Section 175.105 for indirect food contact. The film layer has direct food contact compliance. CFR Title 21 Section 175.105 compliance permits the use of the adhesive in applications for which it is either separated from the food by a functional barrier that will prevent the migration of the adhesive components to the food, or has incidental contact with food limited to the trace amount at the edges or seams of the label.
Target Markets:
Commonly used to enhance durability in harsh environments. Appropriate for high moisture and high abrasion packaging applications, such as food packaging and durable goods' labeling. Can also be used for reinforcing printed media or applied as an overlaminate for flexible packaging applications.
End Uses:
This construction has been used successfully on a wide variety of white paper and plastic film facestocks to provide increased surface abrasion and splash resistance. Depending on aesthetic requirements, this construction might not be suitable as an overlaminate on metallized or dark-printed background labels.
