Facestock:
Fasson® Direct-Therm 200HD Grey Blockout is a smooth white paper with a medium sensitivity thermal coating. This facestock has a grey primer on back, in order to provide the blockout feature (opacity). A special low ion topcoating provides protection for the thermal layer and maximizes print head life. This product is suitable for use in a wide variety of direct thermal label printers, especially those typically used in weigh-scale applications. Fasson® Direct-Therm 200HD is resistant to blood, fats, oils, plasticizers found in PVC, alcohols, solvents, and vinegar. Print density at 100°C/212°F is 1.25 ODU.

Fasson recommends material to be imaged and used within three to six months (FIFO inventory method) upon receipt of material for the finest quality product.

Adhesive:
Fasson® AT20 is an all-temperature adhesive developed to provide good room temperature performance and excellent cold temperature performance without sacrificing good diecutting and stripping properties. Because of its cold-temperature properties and good adhesion to corrugated cardboard, AT20 is an ideal adhesive for warehouse applications. Fasson® AT20 is suitable for applications where compliance with FDA 175.105 is required. This section covers applications where incidental contact between food and adhesive could occur.

FDA Compliance: Title 21, Section 175.105 of the Code of Federal Regulations (21 CFR 175.105). Compliance to this regulation permits the use of this adhesive in applications for which the adhesive either (1) is separated from the food by a functional barrier, which will prevent the migration of any of the adhesive components to the food, or (2) has incidental contact with food limited to the trace amount at the seams or the edges of the label.
