Fasson® 2 Mil White BOPP TC/PR1000 ("Photo-Reactive)/40#BG
Spec# 79637
Facestock:
Fasson 79637 Photo-Reactive Adhesive Technology, featuring PR1000 adhesive, is a patent-pending adhesive system which allows for performance of two adhesive properties in one construction. It irreversibly changes its properties under targeted exposure to UV light from permanent to removable. Selective areas of the laminate can be masked or shadowed by printing a black opaque mask on the liner to limit the light from reaching the adhesive. This would allow unique constructions and patterns of permanent and removable adhesion side by side from the same roll of labels. It is a great solution for extended content, promotional and custom labels.

Adhesive:
Fasson® PR1000 is a general purpose permanent adhesive. Upon exposure to UV light, the adhesive changes to become a removable adhesive.

Complies with Title 21, Section 175.105 of the Code of Federal Regulations (21 CFR 175.105). Compliance with this regulation permits the use of this adhesive in applications for which the adhesive either (1) is separated from the food by a functional barrier, which will prevent the migration of any of the adhesive components to the food; or, (2) has incidental contact with food, limited to the trace amount at the seams or the edges of the label.

Processing Recommendations
To enable the photo-reactive change in adhesion, expose the adhesive through the liner to UV light from a mercury vapor lamp (H bulb or D bulb). The minimum required dosage is 150 mJ/cm2 delivered to the liner, as measured with the EIT Power Puck® II. A dosage (time or intensity) below minimum dosage will not allow the adhesion levels to change from permanent to removable.

The mask may be printed on the liner with various water-based flexographic ink, UV-curable flexographic ink, or UV-curable screen ink. The mask should be UV blocking, and with a majority of black inks, should have a minimum print density of 2.0 to prevent UV light bleedthrough.

Water-based flexographic inks are recommended for printing directly on the adhesive. Do not use UV-curable inks or otherwise expose the unmasked adhesive directly to UV light.

Special Optimal Storage Conditions
Store at 72F and 50% RH and shield from any sources of UV light including sunlight, halogen light, & black light. Shipped materials will arrive in UV blocking packaging.

Optimal Storage Conditions
Unless otherwise specified in this document, ideally store at 72F and 50% RH
