We have experienced edge lift with several different label constructions, both paper and film. What are the possible causes?

The common cause may be with the ink or varnish used to print the material. Many UV coatings shrink when cured causing the edge of the label to lift on all sides of the container. To reduce the potential for UV induced curl, use coatings with minimal shrinkage and avoid printing inks and varnishes to the edge of the label.
