What are the proper storage conditions for pressure-sensitive label materials?

Material should be stored at 72°F +/- 10°F and 50% relative humidity +/-20% RH. These storage conditions will ensure that the material is not affected by dramatic changes in temperature and humidity. If warehousing conditions differ from the converting or dispensing environment, we recommend that the material be conditioned for 24 hours prior to use. Cover rolls with poly bags to keep them clean and contamination free. Rolls should be stored in their original packaging until needed. Use silicone coated diskettes or slip-sheets between rolls to prevent blocking during storage. Rolls should never be stored in direct sunlight, next to heaters, in damp places or close to the roof of workrooms or warehouses. Direct exposure to other UV light sources should also be avoided. Excessive stacking of boxes should be avoided. If the rolls are removed from their original boxes, we recommend horizontal pipe racks be used to suspend the rolls. If racking is not available, return the rolls to their original packaging.
