Fasson® 2 Mil Clear BOPP TC Barrier is a topcoated, biaxially-oriented polypropylene film designed for semi-rigid reclosure applications which require an oxygen barrier. Recommended for printing with web UV screen, UV letterpress, UV flexographic, and water-based flexographic inks. Not recommended for solvent based ink systems. In-house testing is always recommended prior to final ink selection. Use caution when applying inks to the edge of the label, particularly UV inks and UV cured varnishes. High shrinkage coatings can cause labels to lift off the liner or off the substrate to which the label has been applied.
A PVDC-free barrier coating is applied to the adhesive side of the facestock, providing oxygen barrier properties necessary for certain food packaging applications. A typical oxygen transmission rate is 0.5 cc/100 sq. in./24 hrs. at 23°C / 0%RH, and a typical moisture vapor transmission rate is 0.05 g/100 sq. in./24 hrs. at 23°C / 90%RH.
