Fasson® NatureFlexTM Clear/S9500/40# BG

Facestock:
Fasson® NatureFlex™ Clear film is a clear facestock with a print-receptive coating. Produced from wood pulp sourced from managed forests, the material is biodegradable and compostable. This facestock can be used for all kinds of applications, but is specifically suited for applications where the complete packaging should be biodegradable, and where direct food contact is required. The NatureFlex™ Clear film has good resistance to oils and grease. Because of its cellulose-based nature, care should taken in wet conditions for long-term applications. Preliminary tests are, therefore, recommended prior to use. It is also recommended to store in its original wrapping, away from any source of local heating or direct sunlight. Because of the heat sensitivity of the facestock, the drying temperature needs to be reduced to the lowest possible temperature. Opposed to this, the air flow to dry the inks needs to be increased.

Fasson S9500 is a general purpose acrylic adhesive with good initial tack, and good adhesion on a wide variety of substrates. S9500 is ideal for all kinds of applications. It is specifically suited for those kinds of applications where the complete packaging should be biodegradable, and where indirect or direct food contact with dry foodstuff is required (i.e., fruit and vegetable labeling).

Fasson S9500 is compliant with the European food regulation 1935/2004/EC for direct food contact with dry, non-fatty food. It also complies with DIN EN 13432 biodegradability and compostability regulation, and is OK compost-certified under the tracking number S259.
