MED 5637 adhesive is a nonsensitizing acrylic adhesive. The adhesive is a pure acrylic copolymer. This adhesive has been tested by an indepedant laboratory on humans as well as animals. The results indicate that the adhesive is nonirritating and nonsensitizing in humans. The test run on animals were in accordance with Title 16 of the Code of Federal Regulations, paragraph 1500.41. The repeat Insult patch Test was used to determine sensitization in humans and to indicate potential safe use of MED 5634 in medical devices. Good Manufacturing Practice places the burden of safe product performance on the manufacturer or process of the device.
